For Lumber Legends, it was essential to understand the target player audience. How should the design streamline user experience and provide gameplay, exciting gameplay? Are all the design elements cohesive and harmonious in color? I've had to ask myself why I would use certain colors in different situations, as color theory plays a huge part in influencing user behavior. Why are some buttons positioned a certain way above the other? These are questions designers must ask ourselves to find the proper solutions.

The focus here was to display the necessary information for the player's pets in an appealing aesthetic. The gradient backings on the pets indicate the rarity, and the colored outlines indicate special evolutions, in this case being "Gold" pets, featuring the gold outline ring. The icon design for Lumber Legends needed a high appeal for the target player audience. Icons that catch the eye and add to the aesthetic of the game. The evolution of the coins, starting from the individual coin with an axe branded onto it, to a pile of coins, bag of coins, crate of coins, chest of coins, and finally a safe of coins. Below are two variations for the "Shop" button icon, which features the Orange Cat pet within the game, with sparkles designed surrounding it for additional effect.
